Synopsis: Magnus Chase, a once-homeless teen, is a resident of the Hotel Valhalla and one of Odin’s chosen warriors. As the son of Frey, the god of summer, fertility, and health, Magnus isn’t naturally inclined to fighting. But he has strong and steadfast friends, including Hearthstone the elf, Blitzen the dwarf, and Samirah the Valkyrie, and together they have achieved brave deeds, such as defeating Fenris Wolf and battling giants for Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir. Now Magnus and his crew must sail to the farthest borders of Jotunheim and Niflheim in pursuit of Asgard’s greatest threat. Will they succeed in their perilous journey, or is Ragnarok lurking on the horizon?

My rating: 4.5/5 stars
The Review -This is the third and I think the final book in the god of Asgard series, if you’ve being following my book related post for a while then you’ll know this is one of my favorite book/series.
Rick Riordan is a well known author for well written books full of adventures in a world so well written, characters so well developed and a great sense humor, so I had high expectations for this book. It didn’t really disappoint, everything was on par. My only complaint was that it seem as funny to me as his other books and that sucks cuz the two previous books I read (BLACK BIRD OF THE GALLOWS BY MEG KASSELand AN ENCHANTMENT OF RAVENS BY MARGARET ROGERSON)was a bit of a let down too; I was looking forward to this to cheer me up.
It was good don’t get me wrong just not as good as I expected or as the his other books (at least to me), maybe because it’s the final book and it was heavy on the quests ( which doesn’t really sound like much of a reason since all Riordan’s book are always quest focused and still humorous so ……..). Or maybe I sorta build myself up too much for the book/expected too much. Anyhoo that’s why am giving it 4.6 out 5 stars instead of a solid 5, still a pretty good mark though.
Do I recommend it? : Heck Yes
