I read the first book last month i.e A Court Of Thorns And Roses and I liked it a lot so I immediately picked up the second book in the series to read but then I stopped few chapters in ( like 100+ pages in) because it seems the plot was changing and what the first book was built on was slowly being erased. I hate when that happens in books , to have everything have absorbed so far in a book twisted and changed throws me in a loop so I stopped reading. I was a fool. Am so glad I picked the book back up this month after reading countless reviews about how good it was and it wasn’t a lie, it was good which made me angry at myself that I waited this long to read it but it was also kind of cool , it’s like finding a treasure.
like everyone’s being saying about this book ,it’s awesome!. The series is my first Sarah J. Mass book and I can’t wait to read her other published works.
What I really loved about the book was how she introduced the relationship between Feyre and Rhys, it wasn’t rushed. After all she endured for Tamlin in the first book would have had problem understanding if she had just throne it all away for a new love interest . She allowed Feyre to work through her issues first and slowly etched out the relationship between her and Tamlin but not by painting Tamlin as the bad guy at least not straight away. The way she found out she was Rhys’ mate…..priceless. I really really really like the book for that, sometimes things don’t work out. People change and sometimes we don’t want to accept that cuz letting go even when it’s the right thing to do can be very hard.
Definitely like Rhys more than Tamlin especially after the stupid thing he did at the end. I think the guy’s just broken. Rhys just became my second male fiction character (Adam’s the first, from Mercy Thompson series)
What I learnt from the book
New things is not always bad. Change is constant, we can either work with it or against it but either way it’ll happen and what we do with it will determine if we’ll stay stuck in the past or soar with the wind to the future. New things can be scary (at least to me it is, except we’re talking gadgets ) but it’s almost never bad (except when it is). Life is what we make it to be.
Patiently waiting for the next installment
I give it 10/10
